Equality
IntentEquality, where opportunities are equitably held to all members of the global community regardless of status such as race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or political persuasion, has been widely recognized as a noble characteristic of a fair and just society. While some progress towards equality has been made in limited parts of the world, inequality in the workplace and in society persists as a significant barrier to the health and welfare of significant populations across the globe. This category evaluates and rewards products and product systems manufactured by companies that promote equal and equitable opportunities based on the duties and performance of their workers.
IdealA product and its source materials are harvested, extracted, or manufactured exclusively by companies that recognize and provide equal opportunities for employees, contract workers, or other laborers regardless of race, gender, religion, or some other bias.
